How to measure

Two ways to measure

  1. 1. Measure a ring that fits

Pick a ring that fits the right finger. Measure straight across the inside, edge to edge, in millimeters. Find that inside diameter in the chart.

  2. 2. Or measure your finger

Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger. Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters. Find that circumference in the chart.

  3. 3. Check it twice

Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are warm, and measure two or three times.

Tips for the right fit

  • Between sizes? Choose the larger half size, especially for wider bands.
  • Fingers swell in heat and shrink in the cold. Avoid measuring when your hands are very cold.
  • The ring has to slide over your knuckle. If your knuckle is wide, size for the knuckle.
  • Buying a surprise? Borrow a ring they wear on the same finger and measure its inside diameter.
  • Any jeweler can size your finger in a minute. Ask for your US size.
