Metal
2. Choose a metal
Gold comes in white, yellow or rose. The metal options for each ring are on its product page.
| Metal | What it is | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Sterling Silver | 92.5% silver | The most affordable. Bright white; polish now and then to keep it bright. |
| 10K gold | 41.7% gold | The hardest-wearing gold and the lowest gold price. |
| 14K gold | 58.3% gold | The most popular balance of richness and durability. |
| 18K gold | 75% gold | Richer color, softer metal, the most gold. |
| Platinum | Platinum | Naturally white, dense and heavy. A premium choice. |
Size
3. Get the size right
Rings are made to your size and are final sale, so measure carefully with our ring size guide. Buying a surprise? Borrow a ring they wear on the same finger and measure its inside diameter.
Diamond shape
Each ring page shows its center stone shape, such as round, oval, emerald or cushion. Longer shapes like oval and emerald can look larger on the finger for the same carat weight.
